The Brocade BR-200E is a genuine SilkWorm 200E Fibre Channel fabric switch, a compact 1U SAN switch offering 16 ports scalable from 8 base active ports via Ports on Demand licensing, delivering up to 128 Gbit/s of aggregate end-to-end bandwidth. It supports auto-sensing 1, 2 and 4 Gbit/s port speeds with universal E, F and FL port types, giving flexible connectivity to hosts, storage arrays and other fabric switches without manual port-type configuration. With a maximum fabric latency of around 1.2 microseconds, support for 2112-byte frames, and nominal power consumption of only 45W, the 200E was positioned as an efficient, entry-to-mid-market fabric switch well suited to small and medium enterprise SANs as well as edge-switch roles in larger multi-switch fabrics.
