The Brocade FESX624 is a FastIron Edge X624 switch, providing 20 fixed 10/100/1000 copper ports plus four combo Gigabit ports (RJ45 copper or SFP fibre, selectable per port), Base Layer 3 software, and one AC power supply (module 32002-000). The FastIron Edge X series originates from Foundry Networks, which Brocade acquired in 2008, continuing the platform under the Brocade badge before Brocade’s IP networking business itself passed to Extreme Networks in 2017. FastIron Edge switches of this generation remain in service across a number of established enterprise networks, and genuine spares such as this one are needed to restore a failed unit or expand stack capacity.
