The Cisco 34-1677-01 is a DC power supply for the Catalyst 2950 series switch, covering the WS-C2950-12/24/48, WS-C2950T-24/48 and WS-C2950G-12/24/48-EI variants, rated for -36V to -72V DC input and delivering 54W maximum output at +12V/4.5A. DC input power supplies of this kind are fitted where a switch is deployed in a telecom-standard DC-powered environment, such as a central office or cabinet running on -48V DC plant power, rather than a standard AC mains supply. It is the correct field-replaceable spare for restoring DC power on an existing 2950 deployment already wired into DC plant power, rather than a general AC-to-DC alternative.
