HP J9853A Hewlett-Packard HP / HPE / Aruba enterprise networking and server portfolio Datacentre Switch

The HP J9853A is an Aruba 2530-48G-PoE+-2SFP+ switch. It provides 48 autosensing 10/100/1000 access ports with PoE+ and two fixed SFP+ uplink ports that will run at either 1 or 10 Gigabit, with a console port and an internal AC supply. The 2530 range is the fixed configuration access tier below the 2920, aimed at wiring closets that need managed Gigabit and power but not stacking or modular uplinks.

HP’s networking range, later rebadged Aruba, covered fixed configuration managed switches from small office access up to stacked campus wiring closets. The 2530, 2620 and 2920 families sit in that access tier, offering Gigabit copper, optional Power over Ethernet and SFP or SFP+ uplinks, with a lifetime warranty policy that put a great many of them into service. They are common, well documented and straightforward to replace like for like.
