The Huawei SSN1EU08 (EU08) is an 8xSTM-1 electrical interface board for the Huawei OptiX OSN 3500 optical transport platform. The board provides eight STM-1 electrical tributary connections, allowing the OSN3500 to add and drop STM-1 level SDH traffic over electrical (rather than optical) interfaces where that is the required connection type at the site. As one of a range of interface and processing boards available for the OSN3500 chassis, the EU08 is fitted according to the specific tributary mix required by the network design.
