The Juniper PN26AR0 is a Juniper Networks 1000Base-LX SFP transceiver, a long-reach single-mode Gigabit Ethernet optic rated for links of up to around 10km depending on fibre grade. It is a generic SFP optic used across multiple Juniper platforms with SFP-based Gigabit ports, including the EX-series switches and M/MX-series routers, rather than being specific to one chassis, and it interoperates with any standards-compliant 1000Base-LX SFP at the far end of the link. Genuine optics such as this one are a routine requirement for restoring a failed fibre uplink or extending a link beyond the reach of a short-range SFP.
