The Juniper PWR-M40-AC-S is an AC power supply for the Juniper M40 router, Juniper’s original core/edge routing platform built around a passive backplane and hot-swappable Flexible PIC Concentrators. The M40 supports dual load-sharing power supplies at the bottom rear of the chassis, and this AC unit is the field-replaceable spare used either to restore a failed supply or to add a second supply for load-sharing redundancy. It can be swapped without shutting down the router, in keeping with the M40’s design for hot-swappable power, cooling, PICs and routing engine. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
