The Nokia 474198A is the AREA, an AirScale radio frequency module (RFM) for the 1800 MHz band (Band 3). It is a high-power macro radio unit in a 6T6R (six transmit, six receive) configuration delivering up to 480 W, providing the FDD-LTE air interface and connecting to an AirScale or Flexi baseband unit over CPRI/eCPRI optical fronthaul. Built in a die-cast aluminium housing with integrated heat-dissipation fins and an outdoor-rated enclosure, it is designed for tower, mast and rooftop macro sites and supports high-capacity, spectrally efficient LTE. Within the Nokia AirScale radio access portfolio the AREA delivers the 1800 MHz capacity radio for dense urban and suburban networks. It is supplied refurbished.
