The Nokia 475266A is the ABIO, an AirScale Capacity baseband plug-in unit for the Nokia AirScale System Module. Built on Nokia’s ReefShark system-on-chip, it processes high-capacity 4G LTE and 5G NR traffic, handling Layer 1, 2 and 3 baseband computing for the radio access network and connecting to radios over OBSAI, CPRI or eCPRI fronthaul.

It fits into AirScale subracks (AMIA, AMIB, AMOD) and supports LTE and 5G NR simultaneously, with up to 14 Gbps L1 throughput and support for both wideband and narrowband 5G cells. Central to Nokia’s Single RAN approach, the ABIO simplifies multi-generation 2G to 5G deployments. It is supplied refurbished as a capacity-expansion or spare baseband card.
