The Nokia 471025A is an FTIA card, a transport interface module for the Nokia Flexi platform that provides hybrid PDH and Ethernet backhaul. It carries traditional symmetrical PDH (E1/T1-style) traffic together with packet Ethernet over the same interface, allowing a Flexi base station or FlexiHopper microwave link to hand off both legacy TDM and IP transport towards the network. The FTIA installs as a plug-in card within the Flexi transmission sub-rack and works alongside the radio and system modules that make up a Flexi Multiradio or FlexiHopper installation. It is commonly seen in 2G and 3G Flexi deployments where a mixed TDM and Ethernet transport path is required.
