OMX cards combine or split a small number of individually wavelength-tuned client channels onto a single fibre pair; an 800GHz (roughly 6.4nm) channel spacing is a coarser, lower-density DWDM grid than the finer 100/200GHz spacing used elsewhere in the same platform, suiting shelves carrying fewer, wider-spaced wavelengths.
