ZyXEL GS1100-24E, a 24-port unmanaged gigabit rack-mount switch with two combo SFP uplinks.

The ZyXEL GS1100-24E is a 24-port unmanaged gigabit Ethernet switch in a 1U rack-mount case, the later revision of the GS1100-24. All 24 copper ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbit with auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX, and two of them are combo ports shared with SFP sockets so a fibre uplink can be fitted without giving up a managed platform. It uses a non-blocking store-and-forward switch fabric with a 4K MAC address table, supports 9K jumbo frames for storage and backup traffic, and applies IEEE 802.3x flow control. Because there is nothing to configure it is the usual choice for an office or workshop that needs gigabit port count rather than VLANs or monitoring, and it is equally common as a straight replacement for a failed unmanaged switch in an existing rack.
