IBM 80P3139: 2-way 1.2GHz POWER4+ processor card for pSeries/RS6000.

The IBM 80P3139 is a further 2-way 1.2GHz POWER4+ processor card in the same family as the IBM 80P3318 processor card elsewhere in our range and IBM’s documented 80P3974 board, built for IBM’s pSeries and RS/6000 systems of this generation. It carries two 1.2GHz POWER4+ processor cores on a single card and slots into the system’s processor backplane, giving the host system its compute capacity.

Systems built around this processor generation remain in service in a number of established legacy Unix/AIX environments, and a matched processor card is the standard field replaceable unit for restoring a failed processor or expanding an existing system’s core count.
