Newbridge 90-4905-21: two-port OC-3 (155 Mbit/s) ATM UNI/NNI card for the MainStreet Xpress 36170, also badged Alcatel 7470.

The Newbridge 90-4905-21 is a two-port OC-3 interface card for the MainStreet Xpress 36170 ATM switch, listed by resellers as a 7470 OC3-2 UNI/NNI card. OC-3 runs at 155 Mbit/s in the SONET hierarchy, the North American equivalent of STM-1, and the card can be set as a user-network interface towards customer equipment or as a network-node interface towards another switch. Sister codes in the 90-4905 series cover the multimode and extended long reach optical builds.

Alcatel bought Newbridge Networks in February 2000 and renamed the 36170 the Alcatel 7470 MSP, which is why both names appear on cards of this vintage. The platform is out of support and maintained from held spares. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
