The Newbridge 90-2517-43/J is an E1 circuit emulation card from the 90-2517 series for the MainStreet Xpress 36170 ATM switch. Cards in this series carry ordinary 2 Mbit/s E1 traffic across the cell-based fabric of the switch, breaking the constant bit rate stream into cells and rebuilding it with its original timing at the far end so that the circuit behaves like a leased line.
