The 3Com 7ZNV92AA98 is a SuperStack II Switch 3300, a managed 10/100 Ethernet workgroup switch from 3Com’s stackable SuperStack II range. It provides autosensing 10/100BASE-TX ports for desktop connections and an expansion slot for an uplink module back to the core of the network.

Management runs through a console port, a web interface and SNMP, with support for VLANs, spanning tree, port trunking and RMON statistics. Several Switch 3300 units can be stacked and managed as one, which made the model a common choice for wiring closets serving a floor of users. The design continued into the later SuperStack 3 Switch 3300.

3Com’s networking business became part of Hewlett Packard in 2010, so replacement units for this generation now come from refurbished stock.
