The D-Link PSU-D-LINK-7,5VDC is a 7.5 V DC external mains adapter for D-Link desktop networking equipment that takes a 7.5 V input. D-Link’s small unmanaged switches have no internal power supply. They run from a plug-in adapter feeding a DC socket on the rear panel, so a failed adapter leaves an otherwise healthy switch with no power or port lights.

The best-known user is the DES-1008D, the 8-port 10/100 desktop switch, where 7.5 V DC applies to later hardware revisions. The original DES-1008D was specified at 5 V DC, 2.4 A, so the input rating printed on the switch label is the one to match, together with current and plug polarity. D-Link’s own 7.5 V adapters for this switch are rated at 1 A.
