ROF1575111/2 Ericsson Ericsson AXE Telecom System Card

The Ericsson ROF1575111/2 is a BTU-C2 (Board Termination Unit – C2) loop signalling module designed for use in Ericsson AXE digital telephone exchange systems. This unit handles loop signalling functions, providing the interface between subscriber lines and the exchange switching fabric for analogue line termination and signalling detection.

The BTU-C2 module is deployed within AXE exchange environments to support traditional loop-start and loop-disconnect signalling protocols. It enables the detection of on-hook and off-hook conditions, dial pulse recognition, and other loop-based signalling events essential for PSTN subscriber connectivity.

This is a legacy component from Ericsson’s AXE platform, which served as a cornerstone of public telephone networks globally for several decades.
