The Extreme Networks 13011 is a Summit 24 standalone Ethernet switch, providing 24 ports of 10/100Base-TX copper connectivity for edge and wiring-closet deployments. A single 1000Base-SX Gigabit fibre uplink port allows the switch to connect back into a Gigabit-speed network core or aggregation layer, keeping desktop-facing bandwidth separate from backbone traffic.

The switch supports Basic Layer 3 functionality, adding static routing and inter-VLAN routing on top of standard Layer 2 switching. This makes it suitable for small sites or branch locations that need simple routing between VLANs without the overhead of a full Layer 3 core switch.
