The Finisar FTLF1318P3BTL is a 1000BASE-LX SFP transceiver running at 1.25 Gb/s from a 1310 nm source, rated for 10 km over single-mode fibre and supporting digital diagnostic monitoring. The P3BTL build is the extended temperature member of the family, specified for the wider range found in outdoor cabinets, cell sites and industrial enclosures rather than a climate-controlled comms room.

Long wavelength gigabit optics of this class are the normal choice for building-to-building and access links where the run is beyond the reach of an 850 nm multimode part. The module is a standard MSA SFP and will seat in any compliant cage, though host equipment that checks the vendor identifier may need a coded variant instead.
