The FORE Systems 1014152000 is a mixed ATM network interface module for FORE’s ATM switching platforms, combining 12 UTP5 (copper) ports at 155Mbps with 2 multimode-fibre OC-3 (SC) ports and 2 single-mode-fibre OC-3 (SC) ports on one card. This mixed port configuration lets a single module serve both copper edge connections and fibre trunk or uplink connections from the same switch slot, useful where a site needs a small number of fibre ATM links alongside a larger group of copper ATM ports.
