The HP JD367A is a 2-port Gigabit Ethernet SFP expansion module for HP’s A5500 and E4800 series switches (H3C-derived HP Networking hardware), adding two SFP fibre or copper-SFP uplink ports to a compatible chassis. It fits the A5500 EI/SI and E4800 switch families used as HP’s mid-range modular enterprise access and aggregation switches through the 2010s, and is not compatible with HP’s separate ProCurve xl-series or Aruba CX ranges. Sites running A5500 or E4800 switches use modules like this to add fibre uplink capacity or replace a failed expansion card without swapping the whole switch.
