The HP J9019A is a ProCurve Switch 2510-24, a 24-port managed Fast Ethernet switch from HP’s entry-level managed 2510 series, providing basic Layer 2 management (VLANs, port monitoring, simple QoS) through a web interface for small office or wiring-closet deployments that need more control than an unmanaged switch but not the cost of HP’s fuller-featured 2600/2900 lines. It sits alongside the larger 48-port 2510-48 in the same series, sharing the same basic feature set in a smaller form factor for sites with fewer ports to manage. The 2510 series remains widely deployed in legacy SMB and education-sector networks that adopted managed switching early but didn’t need enterprise-class features.
