Huawei H901XGHD MA5800 series OLT (X2/X7/X15/X17) Optical Transmission Module

The Huawei H901XGHD is an 8-port 10G GPON/XGS-PON interface board designed for Huawei’s MA5800-X2, MA5800-X7, MA5800-X15 and MA5800-X17 NG OLT platforms. Fitted with XG-PON N1/N2a optical modules, the board provides symmetric 10 Gbit/s downstream and upstream access, supporting a maximum of 8 x 128 10G GPON subscribers per board with a maximum split ratio of 1:256, giving operators a high-density line card for scaling fibre access services. The H901XGHD supports service inheritance from existing GPON deployments, allowing operators to migrate from GPON to 10G GPON while reusing the existing ODN and retaining subscriber services, and it includes chip-level type B protection switching, real-time rogue ONU detection and isolation, an intelligent management channel with four-level HQoS, and support for 9216-byte jumbo frames to improve transmission efficiency. It also supports a maximum distance difference of 40km between ONUs on the same PON port, simplifying network planning in mixed-distance deployments.
