The IBM 98Y2218 is an 800-watt power supply for the EXP2512 and EXP2524 storage expansion enclosures, also used in the Storwize V3700 and V7000 platforms.

As with the closely related 98Y8009 in our stock, this supply is a hot-swap redundant unit: expansion drawers of this class take a pair of power supplies so a failed unit can be replaced live, provided the surviving supply can carry the drawer’s full load during the swap.
