The MRV TM2-XFP is a genuine MRV Communications LambdaDriver 10Gbps XFP dual transponder module providing two independent transponder channels within a single card for the LambdaDriver optical transport/DWDM platform.

It supports SONET OC-192, 10 Gigabit Ethernet and 10G Fibre Channel over its XFP-based interfaces, and is transparent to Forward Error Correction protocols including G.709, letting it pass FEC-encoded signals through without disrupting them. Transponder modules of this kind convert a short-reach client-side signal to a specific DWDM wavelength for transmission over a long-haul or metro optical network, a core building block of any MRV LambdaDriver deployment.
