MRV TM-DXFP4/21: 10 Gigabit DWDM transponder module for LambdaDriver, XFP access port, up to 40 km.

The MRV TM-DXFP4/21 is a 10 Gigabit DWDM transponder module for the LambdaDriver chassis with an XFP access port, rated for a line reach of up to 40 km. It converts a client 10 Gigabit signal into a fixed wavelength on the ITU grid so that the multiplexer can carry it alongside other channels on one fibre pair, and it keeps the client optics independent of the line optics.

It is the shorter reach sibling of the 80 km and 160 km modules in the same family, and the choice between them follows the span loss rather than the map distance alone. The channel number is fixed by the variant and must match the mux and the rest of the plan. MRV Communications was acquired by ADVA Optical Networking in 2017.
