The Netgear JFS524 is an unmanaged 24-port 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet switch from the ProSafe range, designed to expand wired connectivity in small office networks. All 24 RJ-45 ports auto-sense speed and duplex and support Auto Uplink, removing the need for crossover cables when linking to other switches.

Each port delivers up to 200 Mbps of full-duplex throughput via store-and-forward switching, with a forwarding rate of 148,000 packets per second at 100 Mbps and a maximum latency of 20 microseconds. The switch holds a 4,000-entry MAC address table with a 320 KB queue buffer, and its fanless design keeps operation silent in office environments.
