The Nortel DS1405012 is a Passport 8005AC power supply, a 100-240VAC power module rated 1140W (reduced to a lower output at 110VAC) for Nortel’s Passport/Accelar 8000-series routing switch chassis. At least one 8005AC supply is required per 8006, 8010 or 8010co chassis, and it must not be mixed with the earlier 8004-series supplies in the same chassis, since the two families are not designed to share a power bus. A separate AA00200xx-series power cord is required and is ordered independently. Passport 8000-series chassis remain deployed as core and distribution-layer switching platforms, and this supply is a routine spare for restoring redundancy after a fault or bringing an additional chassis into service.
