RAD 3520010000 IPmux VoIP Gateway / ATA

The RAD 3520010000 is an IPmux-11-E1, a single-port TDMoIP gateway from RAD Data Communications that transparently extends one E1 (or T1) circuit across an IP, Ethernet or MPLS packet-switched network. It converts the TDM bit stream from its E1 port into configurable IP packets carried over a Fast Ethernet uplink, and reassembles them back into a clean TDM stream at the far end, supporting unframed, framed and multiframed operation with or without CRC-4 in line with G.703/G.704/G.823. A packet delay-variation tolerance buffer absorbs network jitter so that timing-sensitive traffic such as voice or leased-line data stays synchronised end to end. It’s a compact, low-cost option for sites that need to keep a single legacy E1 link running after the core network moves to packet transport.
