RAD 8E1-IMA/UNI-UNBAL ACE-2002 / FCD E1-T1 access systems Telecom System Card / Module

The RAD 8E1-IMA/UNI-UNBAL is an eight-port E1 interface module for the ACE-2002E ATM access device, wired unbalanced for 75 ohm coaxial connection. It supports inverse multiplexing over ATM, which bonds several E1s into one logical link so that a site needing more than 2 Mbit/s but less than an E3 can build the capacity it needs from the E1s it already has, with the ATM layer spreading cells across the group and reassembling them in order at the far end.

The UNI designation means the ports face customer equipment rather than another switch. The unbalanced build is the alternative to the 120 ohm balanced version and the two are not interchangeable, so the site wiring should be confirmed before ordering.
