Housed entirely within a standard SFP pluggable enclosure, it plugs directly into any host device’s 100/1000Base-FX Ethernet port with an MSA-compatible cage, drawing its power from the host so no external supply is needed, and can be hot-swapped like any other SFP. It extends legacy TDM-based E1/T1 services transparently over a packet-switched (Ethernet/IP) network as a pseudowire, letting operators retire dedicated TDM circuits while continuing to support TDM-attached equipment.
