EMC 071-000-527 400 watt 12V hot swappable power supply for EMC 2U enclosures.

The EMC 071-000-527 is a 400 watt power supply for EMC 2U enclosures, delivering a 12 volt output. It is a hot swappable unit fitted from the rear of the chassis, and enclosures take a pair of them so that either can carry the full load while the other is out.

Most 071 coded supplies of this generation combine the power supply and a cooling fan in one field replaceable unit, so a fan fault and a power fault both result in the same part being changed, and replacing one at a time keeps the shelf and its disks online throughout. Check the exact 071 number on the label of the unit you are replacing, since EMC used several similar 400 watt supplies across the CLARiiON and disk shelf range and they are not always interchangeable.
