Foundry RPS-FGS: Hot-swap 600 watt power supply for Foundry’s FGS and FES series switches.

The Foundry RPS-FGS is a hot-swap 600 watt power supply for Foundry’s FGS and FES series switches. It fits the FastIron GS and FastIron Edge families, including the PoE models where the extra headroom is needed to power attached devices, along with the three-slot ServerIron GT-C and 350 series chassis. Being hot-swappable it can be replaced in a redundant pair without taking the switch down.

Kit from Foundry’s range stays in service in networks built out in the 2000s, where the switching is still adequate and replacing it would mean re-cabling. Foundry was acquired by Brocade in 2008.
