The Huawei WP11OMUA is an OMUa, the Operation and Maintenance Unit for the Huawei BSC6900 base station controller and the RNC6900 platform. It runs the controller’s O&M software, providing configuration, software management, performance monitoring, alarm handling and the interface to the network management system. It is a management and control board, not an optical multiplexer or DWDM transmission card. The OMUa installs in a PARC subrack, often as a redundant pair, alongside the switching (SCU) and clock (GCU) boards. Operation and Maintenance Units are a key maintenance spare because they host the controller’s local management access.
