The HP J9855A is an Aruba 2530-48G-2SFP+ switch. It carries 48 Gigabit access ports and two SFP+ uplink ports, and it is the non-powered sibling of the PoE+ model in the same family, so it draws considerably less and runs cooler in a closed cabinet. It is a common replacement item because the 2530 range was sold in volume and the configuration transfers cleanly between units of the same model.

The HP and Aruba access switch families are among the most widely deployed managed switches in UK offices, which makes them a practical secondary market item.
