Avaya TN750C V14 Definity / G3 enterprise PBX PBX Card / Module

The Avaya TN750C V14 is a recorded announcement circuit pack for the Definity range, later Avaya Communication Manager. It records and stores announcements on the board and plays them back on demand as part of a calling feature, providing 16 channels. The C revision adds on-board flash memory so announcements survive a power cycle without being manually saved and restored, which is the main practical advantage it has over the earlier TN750B.

Definity was AT&T’s and then Lucent’s enterprise PBX, carried forward by Avaya as Communication Manager, and it is built from a cabinet of TN prefixed circuit packs. Each pack does one job: line cards for extensions, trunk cards for outside circuits, tone and announcement packs for the system’s own audio, and control packs for the processor complex. The platform ran for decades with the same physical card format, which is why individual packs are still traded and still fit.
