The Cisco WS-C3560X-24T-L is a Catalyst 3560-X Series switch with 24 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports, one network-module expansion slot for adding uplink capacity (SFP, SFP+ or a further copper module), and the LAN Base software feature set. Unlike its 3750-X sibling, the 3560-X does not support StackWise stacking, making it better suited to standalone access-switch deployments than to wiring closets that need multiple switches acting as one logical unit. LAN Base covers standard Layer 2 access-switching features with basic QoS and security, appropriate for an access-layer role rather than one requiring full dynamic routing, which the higher IP Services image on the same chassis would add. The 3560-X range remains a common non-PoE access switch in campus deployments where a single fixed-configuration switch, rather than a stack, meets the port-count requirement.
