The Cisco WS-X4013+TS is a Supervisor Engine II-Plus-TS for the Catalyst 4500 chassis, combining Layer 2/3 switching control with integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) support and 8 built-in SFP uplink ports on the supervisor module itself, rather than requiring a separate uplink card. The “TS” designation reflects the built-in temperature/environmental sensor and enhanced PoE controller of this supervisor generation.

This supervisor was a common choice for wiring-closet and campus-access Catalyst 4500 deployments needing PoE for phones and access points without sacrificing a line-card slot to an uplink module. It slots into non-E-series Catalyst 4500 chassis (4503, 4506, 4507R, 4510R) and is not compatible with the later E-series backplane. Confirm chassis generation before ordering.
