It draws its inline-power budget from the chassis’s own power supply, so the fitted PSU must have sufficient headroom for a fully populated card, and it installs alongside data-only line cards in a Supervisor-managed Catalyst 4000 or 4500 chassis. The card is part of the same inline-power family as the Gigabit WS-X4424-GB-RJ45 and lower-density WS-X4124 modules.
