Enterasys 6H252-17 16-port 10/100 switching module with VHSIM uplink slot, for SmartSwitch 6000 chassis.

The Enterasys 6H252-17 is a 16-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet switching module for the SmartSwitch 6000 chassis, providing 16 front-panel RJ45 ports plus a VHSIM slot for an optional uplink module to connect back to a backbone or higher-speed link.

It is one of the earlier-generation SmartSwitch 6000 access modules, commonly deployed alongside the higher-density 6H302-48 or 6H303-48 modules in the same chassis, where a wiring closet needs a mix of high and lower port-density modules across its available chassis slots.

It’s a good match for organisations maintaining an existing Enterasys SmartSwitch 6000 / Matrix E7 estate who need matching hardware for expansion, redundancy or like-for-like replacement.
