The Enterasys FPIM-00 is a multimode fibre FDDI Port Interface Module with a MIC connector, designed to slot into the Cabletron/Enterasys MMAC-PLUS chassis system alongside sibling modules in the same FPIM range, such as the FPIM-01, FPIM-02 and FPIM-05.

It provides an FDDI ring connection point for the MMAC-PLUS chassis, terminating over multimode fibre, and was used in legacy Cabletron/Enterasys FDDI backbone deployments from the era before Ethernet backbones became the standard choice.
