The Extreme 10401 is a QSFP28 optical transceiver module designed for 100 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. Operating at 850nm wavelength, this SR4 (Short Range 4) module utilises multimode fibre with MPO/MTP-12 connectivity to deliver high-speed data transmission over distances up to 100 metres on OM4 fibre.

This transceiver is intended for deployment in Extreme Networks switching platforms supporting QSFP28 interfaces, enabling high-density 100GbE connectivity within data centre environments. The SR4 configuration uses four parallel 25Gbps lanes to achieve the aggregate 100Gbps throughput required for spine-leaf architectures and server-to-switch connections.
