Extreme Networks 16712 Summit/Alpine/BlackDiamond switching Switch / Carrier Ethernet Line Card

The Extreme Networks 16712 is an X460-G2 VIM-2t expansion module, a two-port expansion module for the Summit X460-G2 switch. The VIM-2t fits the expansion bay of an X460-G2 fixed-configuration switch, adding a further pair of ports (typically stacking or uplink) beyond the switch’s built-in port count, without needing a full modular chassis to get the extra connectivity. It is worth checking the exact revision fitted before ordering, since equipment of this age was often built and re-spun across several hardware revisions during its production life. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) supplies Extreme Networks spares to keep deployments like this running.
