The HP 379123-001 is a 1000W hot-plug redundant power supply for HP’s ProLiant DL380 G5, DL385 G5, ML350 G5 and ML370 G5 rack and tower servers, accepting a wide 90-264VAC input and delivering up to 800W at 100V or the full 1000W at 200V+ input. These G5-generation ProLiant servers support up to two power supplies for 1+1 hot-plug redundancy, so this unit is typically bought either to replace a failed supply and restore full redundancy, or to add a second supply to a server that shipped with only one. It hot-plugs into the server chassis without needing to power the system down, provided the second bay is already populated or the server can run safely on a single supply during the swap.
