All eight ports auto-sense 10/100/1000BASE-T and switch at full wire speed with a non-blocking architecture, giving up to 8 Gbit/s of aggregate throughput. It is plug-and-play with no configuration required, has a fanless design for silent operation, and ships with an external universal power adapter (100-240V input, 12V DC output) rather than an internal supply. Aimed at small offices or as a simple desktop or wiring-closet expansion point rather than a managed core switch, it carries HP’s limited lifetime warranty.
