HP’s 5800 series ships in both airflow orientations to suit different data-centre hot-aisle/cold-aisle layouts, and a fan tray ordered in the wrong direction will run but fight the room’s designed airflow rather than complement it, so confirming the airflow direction printed on the existing chassis before ordering matters more than for most spare parts.
