The Huawei WP11PEUA is a PEUa, a 32-port Packet over E1/T1/J1 interface board for the Huawei BSC6900 base station controller. It terminates channelised E1, T1 or J1 links and carries packet traffic over them, providing the TDM-based transmission interfaces used on the Abis and Iub links between the controller and the base stations. It is a transmission interface board, not an optical processing unit. The PEUa installs in a PARC subrack and works with the switching (SCU) and processing (DPU) boards, supporting networks that still rely on E1/T1 backhaul alongside IP transport. Packet over E1/T1 interface boards are a common maintenance and expansion spare for operators running BSC6900 controllers.
