The IBM 03N5014 is a 4Gb single-port PCI-X 2.0 DDR Fibre Channel adapter, built around the Emulex LP11000 chipset, IBM feature codes 5758/5761/1905 and CCIN 280D. It provides a single Fibre Channel port for connecting a pSeries, System p or System i server to SAN storage, and is cross-referenced to part number 46K6838. 4Gb PCI-X adapters of this generation were IBM’s standard SAN connectivity upgrade path for servers that had outgrown 1-2Gb Fibre Channel infrastructure but predated the move to PCIe-based host bus adapters.
