The IBM 19P4897 is an Exabyte-built VXA-2 tape drive, 80GB native and 160GB compressed capacity, in an internal half-height 5.25-inch form factor with an LVD SCSI interface (also catalogued as 19P4898). VXA-2 uses Exabyte’s packet-based VXA recording technology and is backward compatible with earlier VXA drives, media and automation products; IBM sold Exabyte-built drives under its own part numbers for AS/400, iSeries and xSeries backup configurations of this generation.
